On a beautiful fall evening..
She was walking down the road on a beautiful fall evening. There was a soft breeze which ruffled her blackish brown hair every few minutes. As she tried to get her hair to behave, she thought back.. She thought of him.. And, how he used to love playing with her hair.. How he used to run his hands through her hair.. How it used to entangle, and she used to get embarrassed.. But, he always said he loved it! He said, he loved the way her hair would curl around his fingers. When he said it, she never believed it. But now, she missed it. She wished he could be here again.. To run his fingers through her hair. The embarrassment of having unmanageable hair would be nothing compared to the tingling feeling those small gestures of his gave her. She missed him immensely.!
She thought of all the times they fought. Over silly reasons. She was immature and so was he. Led to a lot of fights. But, that would also be acceptable. Anything would be, as long as he was there with her. She closed her eyes, as a tear ran down her cheeks. She remembered the way his hand felt around hers. How he used to like placing it on her waist. How he used to tickle her!
The memory was so vivid that she giggled and moved.. Almost as if to escape his hands as they tried to tickle her. Then, she snapped back to reality. He wasn’t here.. She was walking down the road.. Alone.
She imagined what it would be like if he came back.. How she would run to him and hug him.. How she would not let go for a long time.. How it would feel to have his arms around her again.. How he would say “Hey! You have put on weight!”.. How she would flush and hit him for it..
As she walked back, she prayed.. She prayed that he would come back soon..
