Staring out the window

Staring out the window,
So many things to see,
Just one glance outside,
Enchants me!

The mountains, the hills,
The fields, the trees,
The flowers, the fruits,
The birds, the bees.

The dark sky,
The clouds, laden with rain,
Getting drenched in these showers,
Forgetting every pain.

Suddenly, it gets windy,
Turns everything into chaos,
The beings run helter-skelter,
Everything goes for a toss!

The trees start swaying,
The leaves are flying about,
The birds are chirping,
Basically everyone’s giving a shout!

Slowly, things calm down,
The downpour turns to a drizzle,
The trees stand tall again,
And everything settles.

It looks so serene,
Oh! Such a beautiful place to go,
The heavenly scene that I can see,
Staring out the window!
